Effective safeguarding and appropriate conduct are central tenets of good governance. Given recent high profile failures in this regard, and in the context of the global #MeToo movement, it is timely for Arts Boards to reflect on how they discharge their duties.
The third event in a series hosted by the Good Governance Institute focusing on governance in the arts, the event will provide an opportunity for trustees of arts organisations to examine and debate the key issues, and to explore the impact for boards, organisations and the wider sector.
Once again we hope to produce a publication from these discussions to encourage wider debate. The discussion will be chaired by Imelda Redmond, National Director of Healthwatch England, and include insights from: Stuart Murphy, Chief Executive, English National Opera Emma Brünjes, Founder and Director, EBP
This event is for members of Arts, Cultural and Heritage organisations including trustees, non-executives and those with an interest in safeguarding processes.
