Introducing... The CGA Podcast

By Rowena Price

Here at the Cultural Governance Alliance we are always looking for new ways to evolve and open up the conversation about cultural governance.

In a new venture, we’ve expanded our content repertoire to include audio interviews.

We welcome you to the Cultural Governance Alliance podcast: expert interviews and insights on topical issues influencing governance in the arts and cultural sector.

In Episode 1 we ask: How can trustees ensure the alignment of digital - both digital projects and digital transformation - to values and purpose?

Our special guest for the interview is Lizzie Hodgson - Founder of ThinkNation, Founder of Studio BE production company, Z-X Spectrum podcast host and TedX speaker. Lizzie is also on the Advisory Board at The Gulbenkian Arts Centre, and Industrial Advisory Board at University of Kent School of Computing.

Young people are part of a global network - this is the world they occupy. It’s fluid, it’s big, it’s exciting - it’s very, very creative. Why wouldn’t you want them on your board? Get them in and invite them to help build a solution to whatever challenges you have.

In the discussion, we explore topics including:

  • Embracing tech and the inter-generational blend
  • Advisory boards
  • Staying purposeful
  • Onboarding young people

You can find the podcast on a range of platforms, including Spotify and Google Podcasts.
