Cultural boards and the climate emergency - CGA podcast special

By Rowena Price

Today marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Earth day is an important reminder that the climate emergency still looms large, even if the coronavirus crisis is our main focus right now.

The impact of coronavirus means that ‘business as usual’ is being rapidly redefined, with questions about society’s previous priorities in a growth economy being challenged at every turn.

At the beginning of 2020, I invited Hilary Jennings, Director of The Happy Museum, to join me on the CGA Podcast to explore the question: how can cultural boards advocate and influence to achieve more effective climate emergency action?

Whilst this episode was recorded before the full impact of coronavirus emerged, the themes and discussion points remain as relevant as ever.

Like coronavirus, the climate emergency demands action from us all - and cultural boardrooms are no exception.
